After completing an upgrade to Kaleris N4 4.0, Terminal Pacífico Sur is confident it has addressed the security and long-term technological sustainability of its TOS environment and can focus on leveraging technology to improve its operational performance.

Terminal Pacífico Sur (TPS) operates the Terminal One container terminal concession at the Port of Valparaíso in Chile. The terminal operates just over 1,000m of berth, with eight STS cranes and an RTG yard system. The terminal is one of the main gateways for Chile’s valuable fresh fruit exports.

TPS began operations in 2000, using a TOS with a limited TEU capacity. The container business grew steadily and, in 2015, TPS replaced its existing TOS with Kaleris N4 2.6 as part of a major expansion that enabled its container volume to surpass one million TEUs per year for the first time.
